Women are 3x more likely to develop a repetitive strain injury than men.

Hormonal changes appear to also play a major role in contributing to the development of R.S.I’s. During pregnancy, whilst breast feeding and during the menopause women are more susceptible to repetitive strain.

Expecting mothers are more likely to develop repetitive strain injuries as the hormones caused by the pregnancy will soften their joints and bones. Maintaining a good joint posture is highly important in preventing injury.

Stretching exercises can improve blood circulation and help to keep the joint supple and well aligned. Maintaining a healthy diet is also critical to the well being of the unborn child.

Families and children also need a healthy diet rich in proteins and with plenty of vegetables, fruit and whole grains is key to our longevity. A healthy diet should also be low in sugars, salts and fats. Join one of our course if you want to find out more.
